Hello and Happy Holidays and Happy December 2023... in case you're wondering, I learned this year that these videos, short and sweet as they are, seem to be one of the most effective means of communicating and staying in touch with clients, past, present and future. So in this video, I want to talk about the surprise we all had when we learned what was the most popular service we offered in 2023... we now call it "Monitor and Amplify".
Typically we offered this as more of a secondary service to our clients, whereby we monitor the Internet and social media on behalf of the client for content that talks about the client, or is somehow related to the client's field of interest. It turns out this is a service that others in the PR world typically only offer half-way. They can find some of the content, but they often don't have a strategy that knows what to do with the content once they find it. We do!
Whether it's a destination, a film, a theatrical production, a book release or more... we can find some of the best content by monitoring the Internet and social media for specific keywords, such as "LGBTQ+ Palm Springs", simultaneously curating and sharing that content to an LGBTQ+ local and traveling audience that is specifically interested in Palm Springs.
In addition, monitoring and sharing high-quality, user-generated content, in this case, "Palm Springs Pride", allows for some of the most authentic content being posted on social media today to become part of a client's marketing mix. The same applies for the world of LGBTQ+ theatre, as seen in these posts for a recent New York off-Broadway production, or in the world of LGBTQ+ film, as seen in these posts for recent LGBTQ+ films in theatres and film festivals recently, including a summary of a campaign's advertising performance.
