The world's oldest surviving queer bookstore, its largest independent queer archives, its longest-running queer theatre, and the organization that rescues LGBTQI+ people from seventy countries — all within a few blocks of Church Street. Partner with Pink Media for the most comprehensive yet targeted reach into Canada's 2SLGBTQ+ capital.
The Opportunity
There are a variety of ways in which we can market to the 2SLGBTQ+ Toronto community — from the Church-Wellesley Village with The 519 at its centre to Queen West and the west end's younger, artier pole, Hanlan's Point as the summer commons, the diaspora organizations serving a city where half the residents were born outside Canada, and the national audience that Toronto media reaches by lunch. Partner with Pink Media for the most comprehensive yet targeted reach into the highly-coveted LGBTQ+ consumer, with a focus on 2SLGBTQ+ Toronto. Our campaigns are two-fold.
First, we focus on getting your message and story out to a hyper-targeted LGBTQ+ audience online via traditional online advertising, mobile apps, video advertising, and more — geo-targeted down to the postal code across the GTA, plus the Canadian national market and the northbound U.S. travellers now weighing politics in their destination choices. Second, we get your message out via strategically-placed social media posts, both organically and utilizing paid social media advertising — on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, X and more.
This includes both social media hyper-targeted advertising and our #ILoveGay Network — now reaching over 1.5 million LGBTQ+ followers, with #ILoveGayToronto as the city-level presence in that network. Our success metrics are based on the visibility and performance we provide: impressions, reach, click-throughs, and engagement.
Our Campaign Framework
A comprehensive strategy that reaches 2SLGBTQ+ Toronto through paid advertising channels AND organic social amplification — simultaneously, and with the cross-border consistency this market checks for.
We focus on getting your message and story out to a hyper-targeted LGBTQ+ audience online via traditional online advertising, mobile apps, video advertising, and more.
On the programmatic ad exchange, we layer interest and lifestyle data selects onto LGBTQ+ websites and apps, and geo-target down to the postal code — the Village, Queen West, the wider GTA, the Ontario market, and the U.S. feeder metros whose travellers are increasingly looking north.
For advanced placements, we utilize Automatic Content Recognition (ACR) technology — serving your brand films inside LGBTQ+ households on all smart devices, including Connected TVs (CTV), across Canada's largest market.
We tap into the online conversations and communities on your brand's behalf — amplifying your Toronto story, venues, sponsorships and events within 2SLGBTQ+ communities on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, X and more.
This includes both social media hyper-targeted advertising and our #ILoveGay social media network — now reaching over 1.5 million followers, with #ILoveGayToronto carrying the city-level conversation. Toronto's media culture is national by default: what publishes here reaches Vancouver and Halifax by lunch.
From Inside Out and the Trans and Dyke Marches to Blockorama, Green Space and the Pride parade, we help your brand show up where the community already gathers — and in 2026, the roster is being read like a scorecard.
Canada's 2SLGBTQ+ capital, mapped for marketers. Our editorial summary covers the 1981 raids and the Village, the Charter standard, Xtra's liberation-paper lineage, Pride Toronto's sponsor test, The 519 and the world's firsts, Casey House and Rainbow Railroad, and Destination Toronto's stability sell — with a full report available to buy or subscribe.

Real-World Targeting Examples
These examples illustrate a sampling of what we can offer. Campaigns are monitored and custom-tailored to remove underperforming placements and double down on what's working.
The Map
"Toronto" means the GTA — Canada's largest metro at nearly seven million, where half the residents were born outside Canada, so the queer community speaks every language on Earth with diaspora organizations to match.
The 519 at its centre — a City of Toronto agency with community governance, running counselling, trans services, newcomer settlement and the Green Space Festival — alongside the rainbow crosswalks, the AIDS Memorial in Barbara Hall Park, and Glad Day Bookshop, the world's oldest surviving LGBTQ+ bookstore.
The artier counterweight, home to Buddies in Bad Times — the world's largest and longest-running queer theatre company — and the creative economy that carries the market's cultural layer beyond the Village.
The Islands' historic queer beach, and the seasonal gathering place that widens the market's geography every summer beyond the bar-and-street calendar.
Institutional anchors across the GTA include The 519, Glad Day Bookshop, Buddies in Bad Times, The ArQuives — among the largest independent LGBTQ2+ archives in the world — Egale Canada, Blackness Yes!, the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce, Sherbourne Health and Rainbow Health Ontario, ACT, Friends of Ruby, Casey House and Rainbow Railroad.
The Data Behind LGBTQ+ Toronto
A snapshot from the LGBTQ+ Toronto Regional Guide — the world’s most stable LGBTQ+ legal market, and the year its sponsor roster became a scorecard.
Ontario’s Court of Appeal legalized same-sex marriage effective immediately in June 2003, making it the first jurisdiction in North America where couples could marry — two years before Canada’s Civil Marriage Act took it nationwide.
Police raided four bathhouses in Operation Soap, arresting nearly 300 men. The next night thousands filled Yonge Street, and the organizing that followed built modern queer Toronto — including the first Pride celebrations that summer.
When U.S.-headquartered corporations withdrew Pride sponsorships amid the American DEI retreat, the roughly $900,000 shortfall forced a national conversation — and left the most visible open sponsorship inventory in North American Pride.

The Toronto Calendar
The calendar builds through spring into a June that functions as a civic season — and in 2026, that parade is also the stage on which the sponsor test resolves.
Presence in 2026 is worth double and absence is noted — and U.S. brands are checked for cross-border consistency. Pink Media builds Toronto campaigns that run 24/7, 365.
Pink Media brings 30 years of LGBTQ+ marketing expertise to Canada's largest market — reaching the community across the Village, the west end and the wider GTA, 24/7, 365 days per year. Campaigns start at $1,500 per month, scaled to your goals.
